Rebekah Vardy has since responded.
On Wednesday morning, Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy engaged in what could end up going down as the most-talked about Twitter beef in the history of the social media website.
Rooney posted a screenshot from her Apple Notes, in which she claimed Rebekah Vardy, wife of Leicester City and former England striker Jamie Vardy, had been leaking information about her to The Sun.
How did she know? Well, she blocked every account from seeing her private stories except one – Rebekah Vardy.
She then concocted a number of fake stories – including one about gender selection in Mexico – which somehow made their way to The Sun, leaving only one explanation: Vardy was to blame.

The plot then thickened after Vardy posted a response – also a screenshot from her Apple Notes – where she claimed that a number of different people had access to her account and that she had no idea who it was who might have leaked the information.
Vardy, who claimed she spoke to Rooney on the phone before posting the response on Twitter, wrote: “Over the years, various people have had access to my insta and just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.
“I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you? I liked you a lot Coleen and I’m so upset you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant.”
