If you’re lucky, a free trip to destinations such as Budapest, Verona or Malta could be on the cards.

Cork Airport has revealed it will be giving away free flights as part of a new ‘Spin the Wheel’ competition that will take place in several locations across Munster throughout this summer.

Free return tickets to a range of destinations, including Budapest, Malta, Verona, Zurich and more, will be up for grabs, as well as luxury hampers from The Loop and vouchers for car parking at Cork Airport and free passes for the Aspire airport business lounge.

The competition has been launched to promote Cork Airport’s connectivity to over 50 destinations worldwide, including eight new routes launched this summer. The events are open to the public and local radio stations will broadcast live from the action.

The ‘Spin the Wheel’ competition arrives to Main Street, Killarney today (Friday, 7 June) from 3.30pm and will also take place at the Showgrounds Shopping Centre in Clonmel on Friday, 21 June and Douglas Court Shopping Centre in Cork on 2 August.

Commenting on the competition, Head of Communications at Cork Airport, Kevin Cullinane, said:

“We are delighted to bring our ‘Spin the Wheel’ competition to communities across Munster this summer. To be in with a chance to play, you must first enter the draw.

If you are called, you will have to answer a question correctly about Cork Airport before spinning the wheel. It is definitely worth brushing up on your Cork Airport knowledge in advance by visiting www.corkairport.com.

“In total, 2.6 million passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport this year, up 8% compared to 2018, its fourth consecutive year of growth. This growth is due to the support of passengers travelling from across Munster choosing to fly from Cork.

“Cork Airport is very much the airport for the south of Ireland, as it offers great ease of access, flexibility, and connectivity to all of its passengers.”
