Couple break up via Spotify playlist, because that’s what dating is now

Rory Cashin

If you’re single in 2017, you’re probably more than well aware of how tough it is out there.

Despite the internet opening up the entire world for dating opportunities, all it really seems to do is open up more opportunities for people to express their disinterest.

There’s a special place in hell for people who match on Tinder but then don’t get into conversations afterwards. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??

Ahem… sorry about that.

However, it isn’t like people who are dating and are in relationships have it any easier, especially when those relationships are coming to an end, because now you can get dumped via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram… the entire social media is your brand new open wound.

However, dumping someone via Spotify is a new one on us, and that is exactly what 19-year-old Kirsten Titus decided to do when her dating time with 20-year-old Wyatt Hall had run its course.

Her sister took a screengrab of the dumping playlist and posted it to Twitter:

With song titles from the likes of James Arthur, Ed Sheeran (of course), Miguel and Trey Songs, Kirsten spelled it out to her new ex quite plainly: “Do you still want to kiss me because I am kinda lovin someone else but we can still be friends.”

Look at it this way, Wyatt. You’ve got one helluva break-up story to tell as an ice-breaker on your next first date.
