A couple, Flannery’s in Dublin and a long bathroom queue, the best love story of all time

A very happy ending.

JOE

Definitely a better love story than twilight.

Trying to flirt with someone can be awkward enough at the best of times without thinking that someone has ditched you while going to the bathroom especially when you thought that it was going so well.

That’s what happened to Sharon when she got stuck in a severely long girls bathroom queue. She got in contact with Carl James of The Afternoon Show on Midlands 103 in the hope of finding the one that got away.

Sharon met up with a man called Frankie whom she met in Flannery’s bar in Dublin. The pair were hitting it off and a connection was forming.

Frankie was adamant to buy Sharon a drink and although she was on driving duty for the night, she agreed to have one with the nice gentleman and accompanied him up to the bar.

It was a bad time for nature to call Sharon but it did and while Frankie was getting in a couple of drink, she nipped off to the girls’ bathroom.

When Sharon came back from the toilets, much to her upset, Frankie had left the pub.

“I hope he didn’t think that I did a legger, like a runner,” Sharon told the show and added that the thought of it bothered her so much that she had to get in contact to see if she could find Frankie again.

Sharon didn’t know much about her new flame and didn’t even have a name for her Prince Charming but luckily for her, the power of radio came to her rescue.

Frankie got in touch after hearing Sharon’s plea for help and told The Afternoon show that he was sure she had done a runner “she was that long gone.”

Host Carl James asked the question that was on the lips of all the listeners that were tuning into the show, would Frankie and Sharon be meeting up for a drink at the weekend.

Thankfully, the answer was yes.
