Couple take care of a paralysed dog for a few weeks, build him a wheelchair so he can walk again

Paul Moore

No, you’re crying.

Every so often, we need a reminder of some remarkable good deeds to restore the collective faith in mankind. Granted, we’re of the belief that the majority of people are decent and kind, but the constant swell of bad news and political turmoil can get you down.

That’s why this story from a HouseMyDog sitter deserves to be shared.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We just received this heart-warming message from one of our caring sitters and it made our Friday.  Three days ago, Charlie arrived to stay with us for 2 weeks. Charlie is a disabled dog and his back legs are paralysed. We quickly started thinking of how could we make his life better. A little bit of work but worth every minute to see him happily walking again.

HouseMyDog are an agency that lets dogs owners find an experienced and vetted minder.

As you can see below, this kind gentleman at ZED Moto helped construct a wheelchair to help Charlie walk again.

The scenes of the dog happily playing with another animal might be the best thing you see all weekend.

A reminder that there are some very good people in the world.

Take a look at Charlie enjoying his new sense of freedom and mobility.
