About to be a Dad? This Daddy Bootcamp on 10 June will tell you everything you need to know

Calling all Dads.

Are you about to become a new Dad?

Well, you probably have lots of questions. How do I change a nappy without getting peed on? What do I do if my kid is really annoying? How long do I have to wait before they can make me tea?

These all seem like reasonable questions, especially the tea one. Luckily, help is at hand.

WaterWipes is inviting fathers to be and their partners to come along to a “Daddy Bootcamp” they’re holding in the Dean Hotel, Dublin 2, on Saturday, 10 June. It’s a great chance for you and your partner to get a crash course on parenthood and have all your questions answered by expert speakers.

By the time it’s over, you’ll be all set to go pro and embrace this whole parenting lark. So you’ll know exactly what to do if your little darling finds a creative way to wake you up from your nap.

You’ll know not to throw cushions at your toddler until they’ve got that whole walking/balance thing down.

And you’ll be well-placed to give them the psychological tools they need to succeed in life.

The speakers for the event include sleep expert for babies and toddlers, Niamh O’Reilly. This is probably a good talk to catch on if you want to avoid sleep deprivation for the next few years! Other speakers include child psychologist David Carey and Catherine Wells, President of the parent support group Cuidiú.

The MC for the free event is comedian Eric Lawlor. So you can enjoy a few laughs on the day, even if you’re freaking out a little bit at the thought of being a Dad!

This free event is a great chance to get the lowdown on what to expect before the arrival of your little bundle of joy. Think of it as a parenting survival guide for you and your partner.

The WaterWipes Daddy Bootcamp takes place in the Blue Room in the Dean Hotel, Dublin 2, and it will kick off with breakfast at 10am. The two-hour talk will begin at 10.30am and it will be followed by a question and answer session.
