We now have the exact date Krispy Kreme will be open in Dublin

Looks like the doughnut craze is going nowhere fast.

Internationally popular doughnut chain Krispy Kreme, an establishment which will be undoubtedly familiar with J1 students, is launching its first Irish location later this year.

And now, we can finally reveal that the opening date is Wednesday 26 September at 7am.

Krispy Kreme now has more than 1,300 stores in 31 countries and will open its first Irish outlet in the Autumn of 2018.

The powers-that-be notified us earlier this year that the new store will be located in Blanchardstown, in the Hotlight Theatre store, located near the shopping centre.

There will be more than a dozen varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts available, to enjoy either in store or on the go.

The store will also sell Kreme Shakes, tea, coffee and other kinds of refreshments.

The location will be open seven days a week, boasts a counter that will allow you to see your doughnut made from scratch and has a drive-thru option to make getting your hands on a box of doughnuts that much easier.

To celebrate the news, Krispy Kreme is coming to Dublin this weekend to give out some of their signature Original Glazed doughnuts.

Their Secret Hotlight Hatch will appear on South William Street from Friday 10 August until Sunday 12 August, allowing happy customers to be one of the first to collect a complimentary doughnut when their Hotlight is on.
