There was an increase in clamping offences in 2013 compared to 2012 as a total of 56,285 vehicles were clamped on Dublin’s streets last year, which is 2,760 vehicles more than the previous year.
The standard €80 clamp removal fee brought in €4.32 million in revenue for Dublin City Council, while paid on-street parking raked in €24.01 million.
As for the ‘most clamped streets’ in Dublin, Merrion Square West came in first with 694 vehicles clamped throughout the year, while Mespil Road was second with 666 offenders and Pearse Street third with 639.
