A busy weekend.
Ireland has been blessed with a heatwave in recent weeks.
There are some people who are getting a bit tired of the never-ending sun, but for the most part we’re all absolutely buzzing to have a proper summer for once.
But unfortunately, there are some downsides to this beautiful weather…
On Sunday we saw that the Gardaí had to rescue a dog that was trapped in a van in 26 degree heat.
And over the course of the weekend, the Dublin Fire Brigade responded to three fire related incidents and dealt with them appropriately.

Last night Rathfarnham station were called to a gorse fire in Glencullen. Although smoke was visible throughout the valley, the fire was prevented from spreading and extinguished by #firefighters #drone #Dublin #fire pic.twitter.com/qrqiRQc7fL

3 fire engines were responded to pallets and an old diesel tank on fire at a pub in #Monkstown overnight. Surrounding buildings suffered some heat damage externally, however the fire was prevented from spreading inside. pic.twitter.com/yxQjdmtNNH

The incidents above took place in Monkstown, Rathfarnham and Cherry Orchard.
Luckily there were no issues at the Michael Buble concert, and we reckon this tweet from the Dublin Fire Brigade had something to do with it…
YOU CAN NEVER TELL, WHERE OR WHEN a fire will break out in your HOME. IT HAD BETTER not BE TONIGHT. If you feel you are SWAYing stay away from the cooker. Before you CLOSE YOUR EYES, close your doors. And hopefully in the morning we HAVEN'T MET YOU YET #michaelbuble #DrunkCooking pic.twitter.com/F8Mts9ti1N

With the weather expected to stay hot throughout most of the country, people are being urged to stay safe in the coming days.
