Tacos are pretty great. Hard shell. Soft shell. Filled with whatever your preference might be. There are so many options, so many alternative options to make the taco feel like YOUR taco.
We have to stop there, because we’re beginning to drool over the keyboard.
Anyways, if you love tacos, then you will be very happy to hear that the inaugural Taco Battle is coming to Dublin in February.
Eatyard will be hosting the taco cook-off on Saturday 22 February in Jam Park in Swords and they have invited six of Ireland’s best taco makers to take part.
La Cocina Cuevas, The Taco Truck, Fuppin Delish, Órale, Eatery Park and Tacos Don Ron will all be present to deliver the best tacos they can assemble and everyone present can vote for their favourite.
Tickets are €40 per person, which will get you six tacos, a drinks token and a vote for your favourite taco outlet.
The day will also include lots of spicy taco-eating contests, sombrero throwing, piñata competitions, limbo and a Mexican bean race, as well as the Bodytonic DJs bringing the tunes.
The event will take place from 4pm to 9pm on the day and tickets can be purchased right here.
