Aside from hosting superb It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia parties and helping sick children in Temple Street hospital, The Back Page pub in Phibsborough, Dublin also have plenty of other amazing events and activities throughout the year.

After all, they did win the award for Irish Sports Bar of The Year!

If you fancy reliving some nostalgic childhood memories then you’ll be delighted to hear that they’re going to be having a SNES Day on January 28th.

In association with RetroGaming.ie, the pub will be hosting two SNES tournaments and they’ve picked two cracking games for you and your mates to play, Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter II Turbo.

Sonic boom! Hadouken!

There’s further good news because you’ll also be able to play even more games with Super Bomberman, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat II, Super Mario All Stars and the NES’s Duck Hunt all available.

Ah, Duck Hunt. Do you remember the insatiable urge to shoot the dog that appeared at the bottom of the screen?

All the details can be found on the Facebook page here and good luck to anyone that fancies competing.

Remember one thing, watch out for those red shells when playing Super Mario Kart.
