Dublin’s best pizza slice has been revealed

JOE

Mmmmmmmmm…

What makes a pizza slice so goddamn good?

In search of the greatest slice of heaven Dublin has to offer, Dara Dynamite and Kymann tore through the city like hungry men possessed with these criteria in mind; Thickness, cheesiness, oiliness, saltiness, crustiness, heat and, of course, price.

It is the perfect balance of these attributes that brings us closer to the ever-elusive Holy Grail of pizza slices.

In the pair’s sights were four establishments known for their singular pizza slices served on a humble paper plate.

The streets whisper of the legendary slices to be had in DiFontaine’s Pizzeria with its epic raves that break out in the early hours, while nowhere has a concentration of pizza slice excellence quite like the heavy hitters on Talbot Street where the men tested out Pa Pa Pizzeria and Il Capo. Last, but not least, there’s Ray’s Pizza, sitting right on the outskirts of Temple Bar.

Before their stomachs were swollen with mountains of mozzarella though, the pizza pioneers still had to come to a final decision; where serves up Dublin’s finest pizza slice?
