Dundrum’s new safari-themed adventure will help endangered rhinos

Rudi Kinsella

This is a really cool idea.

It’s time to channel your inner David Attenborough and dust off the binoculars because a safari experience is coming to Dundrum Town Centre.

Starting on June 7th, a fully immersive safari-themed experience will kick off, and run right throughout the summer. It will feature a number of activities that are suitable for all the family.

Not only does it sound like a deadly time, but it also aims to raise awareness and funds for endangered animals. And you can play a part, without even leaving your house.

For every picture shared on social media using the #DundrumSafari, the shopping centre will donate €1 to the charity organisation Save the Rihno International.

Additional events and activities will take place each weekend, including face painting, arts and crafts, balloon artists and African dance and drumming classes.

It will also feature a Sundowners Lodge, where you can kick back with a drink in hand and watch the sun go down. Sounds good to us.

The Safari can be found in Pembroke Square (the green across from Wagamamas and The Counter), and is open weekdays 9am-9pm, Saturdays 9am-7pm and Sunday 10am-7pm.

“Don Nugent, Centre Director of Dundrum Town Centre, said, “Dundrum Summer Safari is our most exciting summer activation yet. We’re proud to offer our customers a fully immersive safari experience that’s educational, fun and will raise money and awareness for a worthy cause.”
