One lucky lotto player, or perhaps a lotto syndicate somewhere in Ireland, is waking up nearly €5.4 million richer this morning after matching the winning numbers in Wednesday night’s Lotto draw.

The jackpot, worth €5,395,798 in total, was claimed by one yet-to-be-identified winner, while over 77,000 people in total won prizes ranging from €198,258 (for matching five numbers plus the bonus) to €3 (for matching two numbers plus the bonus).

In case this is the first you’re hearing of the jackpot win and in case it could actually be you, the winning numbers were 2, 5, 7, 29, 38, 42 and the bonus number was 27, so get checking those tickets!

There were no winners of the top prize in either the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 draws, worth €1 million and €250,000 respectively.

The next Lotto draw, with a guaranteed top prize of €2 million, will take place this coming Saturday evening (26 September).
