What’s the Spanish for ‘ain’t no finer diner’?

Eddie Rockets is set to open outlets in Spain and Germany this year, having appointed managers in both countries, as well as 20 new restaurants throughout Ireland.

The American-style diner has been a staple for the post-pub crowd – and plenty others besides – since first opening in Dublin in 1989.

Now you’ll be able to get your sliders and strawberry malts on your jollies too, with plans to open on the continent, while the group is hoping to raise €2m through crowd funding to open 20 more businesses here in Ireland.

The chain currently has 36 restaurants in Ireland. 14 are owned by the company while the remaining 22 are franchises.

There’s also talk of expanding in the United Kingdom.
