Pyramid Egypt

It’s being taken very seriously.

According to the BBC, Egyptian authorities are investigating an incident after evidence apparently surfaced online of a couple posing naked on top of the Pyramid at Giza.

The furore has emerged after a Danish YouTuber, named Andreas Hvid, posted a video to YouTube that appeared to show him and a woman secretly climb the pyramid, before the woman removed her top. Even climbing the pyramid is a criminal offence.

The pyramid is perhaps Egypt’s most famous landmark, and is regarded as one of the seven wonders of the world.

The video is still online, and has amassed over one million views in less than two days.

Officials have also suggested the footage might be fake.

Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities, Khaled El-Anany, addressing the members of parliament’s media, culture and the antiquities committee on Sunday morning, said that “I demanded that experts be tasked with checking the video and determine whether they are real or fake.”

Scaling the pyramids was “strictly forbidden”, he added, calling the images a “violation of public morality”.

There is also investigation into the officials who work at the landmark, as to how such a breach could have happened.
