♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year… ♫

Fota Island Resort is looking to hire a selection of “magical elf helpers” to assist with Seek at Fota Island Resort, this winter’s new project.

The woodlands at Fota are set to be transformed into a total Christmas wonderland for the sixth year in a row and Santa Claus is putting his annual call out for the best elves Ireland has to offer.

The ‘Gogglebells’ auditions will take place in The Kingsley on Wednesday 26 September from 3pm to 8pm.

This year, Santa Claus will have some help from Tara O’Farrell who will be interviewing the potential elf helpers and helping the judges to decide on the “cleverest, funniest and most magical” of those to join the team at Seek at Fota Island Resort this year.

O’Farrell will be joined by fellow guest judges Izzy Showbizzy and Colm O’Sullivan from Cork’s RED FM, along with Seamus Leahy of The Fota Collection who knows what he’s looking for in an elf helper:

“Shy and retiring types need not apply! Becoming an elf helper is a truly magical task and requires a bubbly personality, common sense and a true love for Christmas. The ability to make toys super quickly and an excellent hot chocolate are also welcomed.

“Last year, Fota Island Resort saw over 60,000 guests visit their Christmas woodland, over 20,000 candy canes eaten and over 21,000 cups of hot chocolate drunk.

“So, if you think you have what it takes to help spread this level of Christmas cheer, please come along to The Kingsley on Wednesday 26 September from 3pm to 8pm.”

You are encouraged to come in character and to bring any props or costumes to make your audition a memorable one.

Applicants must be available from 22 November (with selected training days prior) up until 23 December 2018 and will be required to work outdoors.

Applicants must also be 16 years of age or over.
