They had better have some good movies on board.

For some travellers, an hour on a Ryanair flight from Dublin to London is enough time to be spending on a plane, never mind the marathon trek that has just been announced by the Emirates airline. arewethereyet Passengers boarding the airline’s new route from Dubai to Panama will have to get comfortable for a whopping 17 hours and 35 minutes in what will be the longest non-stop flight in the world. The distance between the two destinations clocks in at around 8,590 miles, approximately 10 miles more than the previous record holder, a Qantas flight between Sydney and Dallas. The first flight on the new route will take off on February 1 of next year and Emirates will use a Boeing 777-200LR to complete the journey, a carrier that’s about as far from a twin propeller plane as you can get. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktfIY2Baa9U We wouldn’t fancy the jet lag that’s bound to hit upon arrival though, a man could be flattened for days. sleepgif Hat-tip to The Independent
