Ever sent a tweet and regretted it later?
Most people simply click delete and pretend it never happened, but RTÉ presenter Eoghan McDermott has faced his tweet against the national broadcaster last night head on.
McDermott used some, ehm, unparliamentary language to take issue with the gag order that RTÉ placed on their employees regarding the Marriage Equality referendum.
Now, however, he has admitted that the emotion of polling day got to him. It happens. And fair play to him for leaving the offending tweet up there (at time of writing).
Ops. Heightened emotional state! I do believe in a neutral forum for debate, important for democracy to function!
