What a name that would be.

The Boulevard of Dreams.

The whole of Ireland shut down on Friday night when it was revealed that the winner of the €29 million Euromillions jackpot came from our little country.

As the week went on, we found out that the winner had came forward to the National Lottery to say that they were in fact the lucky winner.

On Tuesday morning, it was revealed that the winning ticket was bought in Castlebar in Co. Mayo in the Garryduff XL Store which is situated on Pound Road.

According to The Connacht Telegraph, a former town and county councillor in Mayo, Johnny Mee, has suggested that the name of the road should be renamed in order to honour the Euromillions winner.

“In view of the big win, I propose that Pound Road be renamed “Euro Boulevard,” said Mee.  He and his wife live just across the road from the store where the winning Quick Pick ticket was sold

The holder of the winning ticket has been keeping a low profile since the massive win but that hasn’t stopped the people of Castlebar questioning who has the golden ticket.

The €29 million cheque will be ready for collection on Thursday but the winner can take as much time as they want to collect the prize.
