EXCLUSIVE: The new Guinness ad will give you goosebumps

Alan Loughnane

They’ve done it again…

Guinness have a strong tradition of sculpting wonderful TV adverts to go along with their products. One trip to the Guinness Storehouse will reveal the the long history of breathtaking adverts that have hit our screens in recent years.

In this ad, Guinness transports viewers to Compton, Los Angeles, to tell the story of the Compton Cowboys.

The Compton Cowboys are an extraordinary brotherhood of men who, despite living in Compton, a city often known for gangs and violence, have made an unusual yet brave choice to take a different path, by caring and spending time with horses, their one true passion.

Many of their horses are rescued from auction houses where they otherwise would end up in the slaughterhouse.

It really is an mind-blowing story and Guinness manage to perfectly encapsulate the magic of it into their latest ad.

The main protagonist in the ad, Keenan Abercrombie, was born and raised in Compton.

He grew up in difficult circumstances. Circumstances which led to jail time for others, but the Compton Cowboys have the had fortitude to focus their lives in a positive way.
