Watch as Ferrari tries to sell you a 599 by making their elegant F40 of yesteryear look like a tin can in an overly produced ad. But damn it’s good.

There is nothing we love more here in JOE Motors then supercars. But not just any old supercar. No, they have to be super-supercars and nothing says super like Ferrari.

Someone in the Ferrari marketing department obviously got their hands on a lot of cash and instead of a straight boring advert, they decided a race between two different generations of Ferrari was in order.

Or, they were thinking like us and just thought ‘the hell with it. Lets race a 599 against an F40 and see what happens’. Either way we’re glad the video was made.

You can probably guess who wins, taking age in as a factor. Plus, there’s the fact that on paper, the 599 destroys the F40, which is already 26 years old.

The F40 can boast a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 478bhp and 425lb ft of torque, which makes a 0-100kph time of 4.1 seconds quite possible, as well as a top speed of 323kph.

The 599 however, has a 6.0-litre V12 with 612 horses under the bonnet, while it hits 100kph in 3.7 seconds and claims to have a top speed of “over 330kph”. If only Lamborghini would make a video next.
