A $1.5 million Ferrari Enzo was sent for a swim in the Atlantic Ocean during a 1,300-mile rally through Canada.

Possibly one of the rarest of rare Ferrari Enzo’s crashed into the Atlantic Ocean during the Targa Newfoundland race on Thursday. It’s not just any ‘run of the mill’ Enzo. No, this was the Edo Ferrari Enzo XX, which is an extremely customised version of the ‘bog standard’ one. It’s owner, exotic car dealer Zahir Rana of ZR Auto, was behind the wheel of the $1.5 million monster.

The driver and co-driver escaped unhurt and as for the car, “the car isn’t destroyed, just a little waterlogged with a cracked headlight and a few other minor issues,” according to the photographer on the scene, Mike Boldt.

Rana’s Edo Ferrari Enzo XX produces 840bhp and can reach 100kph in a mere 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is 386kph, however rumours suggest that it can go a tad faster.

Boldt told Jalopnik, “There was a long bridge and they just came bombing down the hill across the bridge. They took an uneven left off a driveway… and he was on throttle, hit one bump, on throttle, and the next bump threw him right off.”

The car might be a little damp but Rana’s ego must be absolutely soaked. Judging by the photo, it is. Check out the video below to see and hear what the car was like pre-dipping.
