We have a feeling that the Plough Pub is going to have a busy morning on Twitter…

It’s never a good idea to fire your head chef a week before Christmas, but it’s an even worse idea to fire the guy if he controls your pub’s Twitter account.

That’s exactly what happened to the Plough Pub, or @ploughpub, at Great Haseley in Oxfordshire, UK, last night, when their head chef took to the social media site to vent his anger at being sacked a week before Christmas.

Firing someone a week before Christmas can only be described as a Scrooge move, but if the internet has taught us anything it’s that this could all just be one big elaborate viral marketing scheme.

Either way, it’s probably not going to be a fun morning for whoever has to deal with the @ploughpub account.
