Je m’appelle Fred.
Whether it was five years ago or 25 years ago, thinking about our oral exam in school still gives us The Fear.
How intimidating was it to be sitting in a room with a complete stranger, with nothing but a tape recorder in front of you and a bucket of sweat dripping from your head.
Irish comedian Fred Cooke has released a song called ‘Parisian Love’ which is dedicated to each and every one of you who predictably told the examiner that, at the weekend, you liked to go to the cinema with your friends.
Admit it, we all did it.
Cooke is trying to serenade a French girl in his video and what better way to do so than to try and fire some basic sentences that you learned in school in her direction. It is the language of love after all.
As if his ode to the French language isn’t enough to make you panic about your oral from days gone by, there is even some Irish thrown in making sure that you remember your piss-poor attempt at An Modh Coinníollach also…

Cooke’s a very busy man and will be covering a lot of ground with his tour dates (which you can find below), so make sure you catch him before November is out and get a chance to sing-a-long to ‘Parisian Love’.
