The Blessington Lakes, Co Wicklow
If you’re looking to take a short spin in one of the county’s most beautiful areas, then you should make your way towards the Blessington Lakes in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
On a calm, sunny summers day, the lake looks like a giant still mirror, only disturbed by the occasional rower – who will be rowing his nads off while you take a lovely leisurely drive.
The Glengesh Pass, Donegal
The scenery on this journey is nothing short of breathtaking.
Silver Strand beach, reached by descending 160-odd steps, is one highlight, and Slieve League sea-cliffs, which reach three times higher than the Cliffs of Moher, is another.
Sally Gap, Co. Wicklow
Another drive in lovely Wicklow, this one is only a stone’s throw away from the capital.
So if you’re tired of the rat race, it’s the ideal spot to get away from it all. You’ll come across some beautiful mountain scenery, which is also surrounded by vast bog lands.
The Burren, Co Clare
The natural wonder of county Clare is endless. Ancient burial sites, accessible caves and a beautiful coastline are all characteristics of the area.
A great drive which will have you thanking your lucky stars that your from this beautiful country.
