Over the past week we’ve been bringing you some pictures from the Irish Festival of Speed, which took place in Limerick last weekend and today we’re featuring some of the rarer cars this country has ever seen.

Over the past week we’ve been bringing you some pictures from the Irish Festival of Speed, which took place in Limerick last weekend and today we’re featuring some of the rarer cars this country has ever seen.

One of the hottest attractions at this year’s Irish Festival of Speed was the rare car collection located in the middle of the parade ring at Limerick Racecourse.

One of the highlights of the rare car collection was the orange Lamborghini Miura. The car was produced from 1966 to ’72 and at the time of its launch the Miura was the fastest production car in the world. Only 764 units were ever built and if you wanted to buy one today it would set you back well over €500,000. It truly is a stunning car.

Also included in the rare car collection at the Irish Festival of Speed were two BMWs, a gorgeous Aston Martin DB5 (the famous Bond car), a classic Alfa Romeo, a pretty funky looking custom built Lincoln Zephyr and much, much more.
