What a hero...

JOE loves watching our favourite comic book heroes in films but we're even happier to see real-life heroes making a difference in everyday life.

This story about Zac Mihajlovic, a 29-year old car and motorbike fanatic from Australia, is just as good as what Christian Bale did in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.

Zac is a massive Batman fan and he spent most of his free time buying and assembling spare parts from the actual Batmobile that was used in Tim Burton's feature film.

Not content with just having the coolest car ever, Mihajlovic has teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation where he dresses up as Batman to visit sick children and then lets them ride along in the Batmobile.

What makes this story even better is that this real-life Dark Knight has turned down offers in excess of a millions dollars for the car because he feels that his work with the kids is more important.

It seems that this Batman has taken the famous words from Heath Ledger's Joker, 'lets put a smile on that face' and made it happen.

Fair play.
