Gallery: Swatch’s latest collection offers timeless style without breaking the bank

Swatch produce quality watches for

The Irony Chrono collection is the latest offering form Swatch, a brand that was formed on the basis of bringing Swiss quality but with a price tag that wouldn’t break the bank either.

The capsule features some classic pieces that have been given the usual Swatch twist, but that doesn’t make them any less timeless. For any occasion, the Irony Chrono collection has a watch that will match your needs, whether you’re headed to seal a big business deal or out for a couple of drinks with the lads from work. While a smartwatch might be the latest craze, wearing a watch smartly won’t ever be beaten.

Browned
Watches for a more formal occasion can be difficult to find on a budget, but this piece can fit the bill without racking up a huge cost. The leather strap gives this an air of class, and the classically designed face in black also keeps with the more muted tone of the watch. Without a doubt, this is one of our favourite pieces of the collection, it’s very difficult to go wrong with this one.

Blackie
GQ named this one of their best watches under £200 recently, and we have to agree, although we’d also add the majority of the watches from the Irony Chrono collection. This is along the same lines as the Silverish, but the face makes it stand out that little bit more. We’ll be adding this one to our ‘weekender’ collection.

Sobro
The sun-brushed black face with golden and white indexes of the Sobro give this watch a feel of being a high end piece, but the price suggests otherwise. The bracelet is also a nice contrast to the darker face, while the gold accents both here and on the face and hands are an eye-catching part of the design.

Silverish
Both the casing and strap are made of stainless steel, and the face features a date dial as well as chronograph, so you’re not losing out on any functionality. In particular, the mesh bracelet is something that makes this timepiece stand out from the crowd. It’s understated, but a great everyday watch.

L’Heure du Marais
The green face and strap give this piece a slightly military feel (talk about a bunch of guys that make sure they’re on time), but this great casual watch will also give you a bit of flair and colour too.

Pick up your Swatch Irony Chrono on Grafton St, in Arnotts or Dublin Airport T2
