George Foreman is bringing out a new “Advanced Grill” and we want it now

Carl Kinsella

George Foreman grill

Essential for those late-night snacks after a feed of pints.

George Foreman revolutionised the grilling world back in the 1990s when he dropped the George Foreman grill, and the legendary boxer is back once more with an improved grill for those of us who just cannot stop stuffing our faces.

A press release for the product claims that “the heated bottom plate is designed to channel away excess fat into removable trays to reduce the fat content of food by up to 42% making for a healthier meal time”.

It behooves us to point out that anyone interested in purchasing a George Foreman grill is not likely doing so for the health benefits, but it’s fine by us if that’s how they want to play it.

The grill also boasts a top plate which locks into place “which is ideal for delicate foods such as fish that you don’t want to apply pressure to but instead cook in radiant heat”.

Perhaps most importantly, the Advanced Grill and Melt can cook up to five portions at a time — making it ideal for feeding a family, or your mates, or just you when you’re really hungry.

The George Foreman Advanced Grill and Melt will be on sale from €119.99 in November this year.
