No, it’s not a man in a chicken suit.
Granted, it doesn’t take a whole lot to get social media users in a tizzy these days but we defy you not to be taken aback by the sight of the giant chicken in the video below.
The video, which, according to Mashable, belongs to someone known as Fitim Sejfijaj and was originally posted on a Facebook page in Kosovo called Shpeztaria Dekorative (don’t say you’ve never heard of it), has been retweeted nearly 30,000 times at the time of writing and we’re not really surprised because, seriously, what the hell is that?

While it originally might have appeared that there was some sort of technical wizardry at work or that the chicken was the result of a botched science experiment, the truth is a lot more straightforward than that.
The chicken in the video (chickens, in fact), it turns out, are Brahma chickens, which can, according to the Livestock Convservancy at least, be as heavy as 18lbs, (a good chunk over a stone) and have been referred to as “the King of all poultry”.
There’s certainly something regal about the chicken strutting its stuff in the video above, although, for some reason, we can’t get the following clip out of our heads…
