There’s nothing quite like a great April Fool’s prank.
We know because we’ve been the victim of so, so, so many.
Honestly, we went looking for the spaghetti tree after seeing this.
Thankfully, we’ve become wise in recent years and now realise what it takes for a prank to be successful.
Here’s some good, and some not so good, ideas for April Fool’s day.
Good Idea: Involve someone in a position of authority
Whether they’re involved or the victim, it always adds clout to the prank and less room for suspicion.
Bad Idea: Involve THE AUTHORITIES
Yeah, best not try to April Fool the 5-0. Unless of course it’s your mate. Or your cousin. Ok, we all know a Garda.
Good Idea: Putting some paper under someone’s mouse
This is a classic which is always good for a few giggles around the office.
Bad Idea: Taping an actual mouse to someone’s piece of paper
You like having a job, right? Then don’t do this. Also, animal rights folks are understandably not too keen on people taping animals to things.
Good idea: Convince people that you’re doing something bizarre and outlandish
Last year Supermacs claimed they were releasing a bacon, cabbage, carrot and parsnip flavoured pizza and the world of social media went crazy.
Bad idea: Become convinced that someone is going to do something bizarre and outlandish
We were unbelievably disappointed when we realised there’d be no bacon and cabbage pizza… DAMN YOU SUPERMACS!
Good idea: Prank someone in a public place
There’s more people to join in the laughter and it’s harder for the victim to get angry after they figure out what is ACTUALLY going on.
Bad idea: Letting that public place be a wedding or a funeral
There’s not too many mates that’d forgive that.
Good idea: Prank at the drive-thru
It’s always good craic to pull a prank at the drive-thru. That being said, there aren’t too many who can do it as well as this guy.
Bad idea: Prank at the drive-thru
Actually on second thought, these guys cook your food. Their pranks could be a great deal worse.
Good idea: Prank your boss into thinking you’re having a melt down
Like these Aussie DJs did on live radio last year. This is April Fool’s gold.
Bad idea: Having no witnesses for your epic prank
April Fools’ prank are all about the finer details…
Those are the No Nonsense ideas for executing the perfect April fool’s prank this year.
They’ve come up with a great idea called SmartDriver that could save drivers under 30 up to 30% on your car insurance. Take a look at this retro vid they put together. Very funny stuff…
