What is going on at Cosmopolitan lately? The world-famous women's mag has been going since 1886, and has always enjoyed a loyal fan base. They expect a certain type of content, and on the whole that's exactly what they get. A typical edition will feature women's issues, relationship advice, health secrets, career tips, self-improvement guidance, celebrity stories, fashion coverage, and beauty pieces. It's all very positive and wholesome and safe. Of course sex is covered, but even that has decidedly 'Cosmo' tone. Words like 'saucy' and 'adventurous' are about the limit of their descriptors. People read it in dentist waiting rooms, and so you certainly don't expect anything too risqué. But a tweet advertising one of their online stories on Friday caused something of a shock their readers for the nature of the 'saucy' content. The post read: 'How to give your partner the BEST rusty trombone of their life'... If the decidedly graphic image accompanying the tweet doesn't make the 'act' plain. Let us explain the best we can without putting you off your cup of tea and chocolate digestive. Alas we'll probably fail. A 'rusty trombone' involves a man or woman exploring a chap's back orifice with their tongue (or 'rimming' as it is known), whilst reaching around and manually pleasuring them at the front. The overall action is said to resemble someone playing a trombone.
