Great news because The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster can now perform official marriages

New meaning to the term 'special day'

Paul Moore

New meaning to the term ‘special day’.

Wedding traditionalists might prefer to have a priest from their local parish perform the matrimonial duties but it’s 2015 and we’re firm believers in the idea that people should do whatever the hell they want on their wedding day because after all, it is their day.

While the majority of us are more accustomed to seeing a man of the cloth recite the rituals, this story about The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster was too good to get pasta us.

Jedi might be the most topical abstract religion this week but they’re not the only religious order in the news. For those of you that weren’t paying attention in religion class, The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster and it’s followers – known as pastafarians-  worship a giant monster known as the ‘Noodly One’ that’s made entirely from spaghetti. Oh yeah, they also wear giant colanders as headgear. As you do.

Good news then if you happen to know anyone that’s getting married and might prefer a more “non-traditional” approach because this is definitely for them.
