Head to JOE: Suiting Up

The prefect suit can be the right choice for either a business meeting or a few drinks on a night out

JOE

The perfect suit can be the right choice for either a business meeting or a few drinks on a night out

JOE wakes up every morning, browses our extensive collection of expensive suits and then chooses one (normally a three piece) just to sit down and eat breakfast. Then we change again and have another suit for work. We bring a spare suit in a bag too. What we’re trying to say is we really like suits.

Whether you work in an office where you need to wear one or not, every man’s wardrobe should contain at least one, but ideally a few good suits. Classic charcoal or gray is always good, and for us Irish, a navy suit will really work with our colouring and have us looking our best.

Recently, JOE headed along to Arnotts to get suited up and have a look at their Autumn/Winter collection, and editor Mike Sheridan got kitted out in a very slick outfit for the occasion.

Mike2

Mike is wearing a very slick Reiss Navy Suit (€545) which can be tailored to fit you perfectly from the lads at Arnotts. Wearing a suit that’s fitted well will give you the ultimate sense of confidence that you’re ready for any occasion, and it will make you stand out whenever you walk into a room.

If you don’t want to go too formal, then the Fred Perry Blue & White Check Shirt (€90) that Mike wears here will allow you to pop open the top button and have an instantly casual look. You’ll need to top it all of with a quality pair of shoes so these Kurt Geiger Boots (€150) are the perfect piece that will look well with a suit or can be versatile enough to fit with a pair of jeans for a night out.
