Heading to Electric Picnic? Be sure to check out the ‘Drink Responsibly’ campaign when you’re there

Electric Picnic revellers are travelling en-masse to Stradbally and while it's all about having a good time, it is well worth your while checking out this 'Drink Responsibly' initiative too.

Electric Picnic revellers are travelling en-masse to Stradbally and while it’s all about having a good time, it is well worth your while checking out this ‘Drink Responsibly’ initiative too.

We know that thousands of you are heading to Stradbally today for a tremendous weekend of tunes and craic but looking after yourself is important too, especially when it comes to drinking responsibly. That’s where the all important water stations come in and this year they have been sponsored by Heineken, who are encouraging festival goers to drink water in between beers and share their favourite Electric Picnic moments via Twitter. We all know you’ll be tweeting selfies like their is no tomorrow so you might as well have them used in a very unusual way. Here’s how.

To reward the crowd for drinking water, when the target of 500 gallons has been consumed, a unique forest experience will be unveiled at the festival. An immersive installation in the forest, including an 8ft waterfall that will display that day’s ‘best moments’ tweets, will allow the crowd to relive their Electric Picnic experience in a memorable and innovative way.

Attendees are encouraged to tweet their favourite festival moments to @Heineken_IE using the #festivalmoments – the best will be printed on the water installation and you can’t say that you’ve ever had your tweets displayed on a waterfall before now, can you?

And, if you see any of the JOE team’s faces on the waterfall, do let us know?
