Are you up for the challenge?

Regardless of whether or not you’ve always been top of your class, there’s nothing like a bit of cash incentive to help bring out the best.

If you can beat the competition to be crowned Ireland’s smartest student, you will be rewarded with a prize of €1,000. Plus, that isn’t a bad accomplishment to add to your CV…

National Student Challenge

It’s called the gradireland National Student Challenge, and it gives students the chance to see how they fare up against each other. There will be a series of different challenges along the way in a variety of areas, not just in academics!

Not only will students get to meet with top graduate employers but they could also be crowned Ireland’s brightest student AND be in with the opportunity of winning up to €1,000.

The first stage of the challenge is online, and is open until Monday, 4 March 2019. That’s not exactly far away, so you’d best take the online challenge sooner rather than later!

It’s free to enter; can be taken on mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop and only takes about 40 minutes to complete. One thing to be aware of is that you can’t restart this once you’ve filled in your details, so only start it when you have enough free time to complete it!

Once you have completed this stage, you’ll receive a detailed performance feedback report. The purpose of this is to identify your strengths and weaknesses, as well as offer advice on how to improve your skillset.

If you have what it takes to rank within the top 60 students in Ireland, you will be invited to take part in the National Student Challenge Final on Thursday, 21 March. There, all 60 finalists will take part in six challenges chosen by gradireland’s employee partners including headline partner Lidl plus EY, Glanbia, Johnson & Johnson, PwC, and AbbVie.

gradireland partners with third level careers service throughout Ireland to provide trusted graduate careers advice and job information, helping students to make better-informed career decisions.
