As you’ll probably know by now, one of Dublin’s most iconic nightspots, Copper Face Jacks on Harcourt Street, is celebrating its 20^th birthday and doing so in style with a star-studded party on the premises tonight. Over the last two decades, plenty of people have claimed they only ended up in Coppers by accident but there’ll be none of that tonight as the bash is invite-only with doors opening at 6pm. Newstalk’s Off the Ball will be broadcasting live from Coppers and their list of guests of pretty impressive, with Irish soccer legends Brian Kerr & Ian Harte, rugby star Gordon D'Arcy and GAA heroes Darragh Ó Sé, Anthony Moyles, David Brady & Kieran McGeeney all set to make an appearance. Damien Dempsey and his band will be performing live on the night, while resident DJs will play classic retro hits and treat the crowds to unique giveaways throughout the course of what should be a thoroughly enjoyable night. Furthermore, Coppers’ patrons will be granted free entry and treated to a complimentary drink on arrival this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (before midnight) in celebration of Coppers’ birthday throughout the weekend.
