Here’s a video of the Volvo President being pretty awesome

How the truck did he get up there?

Eoghan Doherty

In a bid to try and make their latest ad go viral, the creative minds at Volvo came up with a pretty spectacular idea – why not place Claes Nilsson, the President of the Volvo Trucks department, on top of a giant Volvo FMX suspended from a giant crane at the docks?

Makes perfect sense, right? Plus it continues Volvo’s trend of excellent, impressive demonstrations of the capabilities of their trucks.

Nilsson describes the vehicle on display as “the most robust truck we’ve ever made” and we’d well believe him after watching the clip below.

There’s no need to be concerned for his safety though – he is wearing a hard hat after all. Anyway, it’s the poor dangling sound man we’re really worried about.

We’ll admit that we didn’t really pay attention to what the ad was actually about (something about the hook from the new Volvo FMX being incredibly strong and durable), but what we do know is that the whole thing is really, really, really class looking.

Or should we say, ‘Claes’ loooking?

Ha!

Sorry about that.
