Here’s a comprehensive list of what supermarkets are open this weekend

Because we need supplies.

Gillian Fitzpatrick

For those all-important Easter weekend supplies…

You may or may not be in work today – dependant on your industry and employer – but regardless there is a long weekend currently underway and in all likelihood you’ll need supplies at some stage.

That or you’ll be doing a last-minute Easter egg haul.

So when are the likes of your local Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes, Tesco, and SuperValu open?

Here, we investigate…

Aldi:

Easter Saturday 31 March: 9am – 9pm

Easter Sunday: Closed

Easter Monday 2 April: 9am – 9pm

Lidl:

Easter Saturday 31 March: 8am – 10pm

Easter Sunday: Closed

Easter Monday 2 April: 9am – 9pm

Tesco:

Tesco is a good bet if you need something later at night as many of them stay open until 11pm – including on Easter Sunday.

We had a quick root around and it seems that a good few of the bigger stores will be open on Easter Sunday, with smaller Metro and Express outlets being shut.

You can check out your local branch here.

Dunnes Stores:

Opening times vary from store to store but most branches will have standard opening hours on Easter Saturday.

Many will be closed on Easter Sunday with limited opening hours on the bank holiday Monday.

You can check out your local branch here.

SuperValu:

Different stores operate under different owners, so SuperValu doesn’t have standardised opening hours.

If you click here you can enter your local store and find out.
