JOE Competitions

16th Mar 2017

Here’s what happened when we asked people to send in pics for our Beauty and the Beast competition

JOE

Brought to you by Disney.

We think you rose to the occasion!

In honour of the release of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, we took to the streets of Dublin to share a bit of love by handing out free roses. We also asked people to post pictures with the roses to Instagram and Twitter to win €250, with thanks to the good people at Disney.

Who knew that people liked roses so much? We handed out 500 roses in less than 30 minutes and asked everyone who got one to post a picture to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtags #BeautyandtheBeast and #BeOurGuests. You didn’t disappoint.

Some people really took the romantic gesture to heart.

Trinity proved to be a popular backdrop for pictures. We can only assume that people see it as a rose-friendly location.

Some people loved the celebrity endorsement!

Others obviously managed to wrangle two roses. There’ll be a steward’s enquiry on this one!

Hat’s off for the solid use of emojis here, especially the inclusion of the topical shamrock.

Some classic rose work here. 10 out of 10 for technique.

We haven’t seen this many roses since Christmas.

Never let be said we’re not doing our bit for Irish tourism.

They obviously took some time to reflect on this one.
