Will somebody please buy JOE tickets for this NOW!?

Released waaaay back in 2003, Jon Favreau’s Elf is rightly regarded as the funniest film starring Will Ferrell about… *JOE takes deep breath*… a grown man called Buddy who thinks he’s an elf and who moves from living with Santa Claus in the North Pole all the way to New York City to find his real father Walter who’s played by James Caan and who just wants to teach everyone the true meaning of Christmas all while eating lots of spaghetti-covered syrup… *JOE exhales loudly*

Sure, that may sound like quite a niche genre, but that doesn’t make the Christmas comedy any less amazing.

In some fantastically festive news released this morning, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has announced that ‘Elf The Musical’ is coming to Dublin. The super sugar-coated show will open on 16 December 2014 for a strictly limited run until 10 January 2015. Tickets from €20.00 go on sale next Friday, 13 june, at 9am.

Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.

To get you in the mood ahead of next week’s ticket bonanza, we’ll treat you to our very own favourite moment from the film itself. You really can’t beat a bit of slapstick…
