Hottest places Ireland

If you’ve no plans, hit up these spots immediately…

You may have noticed that it’s rather warm in Ireland today, today being Saturday 9 June in case you’re reading this in the future.

The pollen count is at terrifying levels for hay fever sufferers, and all your of your mates are ignoring your WhatsApp messages as you work away in a fan-assisted office.

Everyone is outside messing about, is what we’re getting at.

So, if you’re looking for the hottest places around the country at time of writing – 12:50pm on Saturday afternoon, for the record – well, look no further…

According to Met Éireann and their weather stations, Dublin is leading the heat charge with highest temperatures of 21°C reported in the Phoenix Park.

Dunsany in County Meath, Oak Park in Carlow and Moorepark in Cork have also recorded that same sweltering result.

Elsewhere, Mullingar isn’t far behind on 20 °C, and it’s a good showing from Cork in general along with Ballyhaise in Cavan on 19 °C.

Coolest temperatures appear to be located at Malin Head with 15 °C, which isn’t too bad all things considered.

The Saturday morning forecast indicated that we can look forward to a warm day with afternoon highs of 18 to 23°C, so we’ve not quite hit the highest heights just yet.

Keep an eye on Met Éireann’s website for red-hot updates.
