Hugh Laurie seems mighty pleased with himself. And well he should- his new movie The Oranges comes out this weekend.
Not to mention his character also gets to fool around with the beautiful 26 year old Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) in the new comedy. The Oranges tells the story of two families, the Wallings and the Ostroffs, living beside each other in West Orange. Trouble abounds when Davis Walling (Hugh Laurie) hooks up with the next-door neighbours’ daughter, Nina Ostroff (Leighton Meester).
The cast includes Oliver Platt (The Big C, 2012), Catherine Keener (The 40 Year Old Virgin), Adam Brody (The OC) and Allison Janney (Juno).
Director Julian Farino brings his vast experience from directing shows such as Entourage and Big Love to the big screen this time. The story is narrated by Vanessa, the daughter of Lawrie's character David Walling, played by Alia Shawkat of Arrested Development.
Released on 7 December nationwide.
