IKEA has invented a genius new app that will change the way you furnish your home

This would make life so much easier.

Ideal for new homeowners who are having trouble picking out furniture.

Trips to IKEA can be an absolute pain in the backside. You spot a couch that you like but you’re not sure if that particular colour would suit your sitting room.

You really want to buy it but the hassle of buying it and bringing it home only to realise that it sticks out like a sore thumb is a complete time-waster.

Additionally, leaving the store empty handed will leave you feeling disappointed and you will have only gone out the door when you are hit with a hint of regret.

That’s about to change as IKEA will soon allow people to try out furniture in their own home through an app on their phone which will make the yes or no decision that bit easier.

It’s called IKEA Place and it will allow potential buyers to preview how beds, chairs and storage units will look in a room by facing the camera at the space where they think the furniture would suit best.

The app will then virtually place the item in that space and you will be able to take a picture and send it to whoever you want for that crucial second approval.

It’s going to be available as part of Apple’s iOS 11 update in October.
