Let us get right down to it, shall we?
Can you see the snake?
Received this from a fellow HERper this morning. No caption needed, the task was implied: “can you spot the snake?” ? pic.twitter.com/oVkjOm8ufy

If you can, congrats, you can visit one of the many other wonderful pages on JOE.ie.
If, like us, you couldn’t see it immediately, know that you’re not alone.
Initially we thought it was a prank of some sort, as did some other folk on the interwebz…
@SssnakeySci @FarhanTotal I’ve found it! pic.twitter.com/DSHEytOdCC

But the original poster, a snake specialist, insisted that there is definitely a snake in there somewhere, so we went back to it again.
Nothing.
We walked away, took it off our minds, then returned with fresh eyes.
No snake.
It was only when we invited fellow co-workers over to have a look did we finally get eyes on it ourselves, and then felt utterly triumphant in pointing it out to them.
If y’all haven’t found it yet… Copperhead, aka Agkistrodon contortrix. Cute but venomous, so no touchy! ☺️?❤️ pic.twitter.com/pSVMIhFP0o
