This is how an episode of Game Of Thrones proved that Ireland is the randiest country in the world

Jon Snow is judging you, Ireland.

Like most of life’s major issues, this one was solved with a little fermented crab.

Remember in that most recent episode of Game Of Thrones, where Liam Cunningham is trying to make a quick but charming getaway from the guards on patrol, by telling them that his boat is full of nothing but harmless fermented crab and definitely NOT holding a kick-ass, kill everything in the room mega-hammer of death?

Of course you do.

Well, as our resident Game Of Thrones expert Paul Moore pointed out in his round-up of the episode, the Google searches for Fermented Crab were about to go through the roof, but little did we know just how close to home they’d be.

In the hours prior to the episode, the searches for “Fermented Crab” were practically zero (because why wouldn’t they be?), but following the show’s airing – BAM! – it was more popular than Despacito re-enacted by cute puppies.

However, what is even more interesting, is that the breakdown for the searches was conducted on a region by region basis, and you’ll never guess which country had more searches for “Fermented Crab” than any other following the airing of the episode.

Yep, you guessed it…

Ireland, you dirty dirty bunch!

Some fictional character tells you that this stuff will make you randier in the sack and all of a sudden you can’t help but look it up onli-

(reads that fermented crab may actually increase your sex drive)

… Excuse us, we’re just popping off for a bit of quick shopping.
