The top 50 most watched things in Ireland for 2018 have been revealed

It was a good year for television, in fairness.

2018's Late Late Toy Show topped the list of the most watched thing on Irish TV last year, as the 2017 edition did the previous year. An incredible 1.5 million people tuned in to see Ryan Tubridy and company showcase the best toys available for Christmas. The first episode of Room to Improve had an impressive audience of 860,000 who watched on RTÉ, who took 40 of the top 50 spots. When it comes to sporting events, it turns out we quite like rugby here in Ireland. 975,000 peopled tuned in to see our boys take on England, while 926,000 watched the incredible win over New Zealand in November.
