Today is #WorldEmojiDay – we know, we know, we can’t believe it’s ALREADY #WorldEmojiDay, where has the time gone?
With that in mind, Twitter has compiled the most commonly used emojis in 20 countries around the world (and created its own emoji for the day in the process).
It turns out that the world’s most widely used emoji is also Ireland’s favourite – the ‘crying laughing emoji’.
For those of us who prefer plain old English to get our feelings across, it’s a sad day indeed.
