Tasty and tempting foo… you know the rest.

Supermac’s food is beloved by people throughout Ireland and even beyond, but it holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Galway, where the fast food chain started out in the late 1970s.

The story goes that Pat McDonagh wanted to set up a nightclub in Ballinasloe all those years ago, but he didn’t have the money so he set up a takeaway instead.

It’s worked out pretty well for him as that small burger joint has since expanded into a €120 million a year business with 107 outlets in total.

So while initially being set up for burgers and chips, the Snack Box has become an iconic piece of Irish cuisine, suitable for all occasions… as seen below.

So what does one have to do to earn free Snack Boxes for life?

Well, Irish actor Dermot Ward – you may remember him from Pure Mule and a small role in Game of Thrones – asked on Twitter to find out.

He was told he was chasing an impossible dream, but there was still a chance to get his hands on some free chicken and chips.

It’s clear the Supermac’s social media manager loves a good GIF…

So how is Dermot’s tweet going so far? Well, at the time of writing he’s very close to earning his third free Snack Box with 281 retweets.

You know what to do folks…
